Rose Hill Courts Holds Ground Breaking Ceremony

On June 17, 2021, Los Angeles Council District 14 Councilmember Kevin de Leόn and Deputy Mayor of City Homeless Initiatives Jose “Che” Ramirez joined The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) and Related California at the groundbreaking ceremony of Rose Hill Courts. This is the first of two phases that will result in a total of 183 deeply affordable housing units and 2 manager units that will replace the original 100 public housing units built in 1942.

The Rose Hill Courts redevelopment plans are 7 years in the making and have benefited from ongoing community engagement and outreach efforts with the residents and the community coaches, community stakeholders, CD14 staff, and the neighborhood council. Overall, this team effort of HACLA, Related, and the design and construction teams, is making a positive and lasting impact on the current and future residents of Rose Hill Courts and the surrounding community.
