Dodgers Dreamfield and Teen Center Unveiled at William Mead Homes

On Saturday, August 21st, The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles gathered with The Dodgers Foundation at William Mead Homes to celebrate the unveiling and grand opening of the Dodgers Dreamfield and new All-Star Teen Center. The unveiling of the Dreamfield and Teen Center went off with plenty of honors to pass around. It was an eventful day starting with the ceremony at 10am, followed by Dodgers Day for all community residents. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by Nicol Whiteman, CEO of the LA Dodgers Foundation; Jr Dzubak & Frank Sanchez, Boys & Girls Club; Eric Brown, Director of Intergovernmental and Media Relations, HACLA, HACLA Commissioners Bakewell and De La Cruz; and representatives of Councilmember Gil Cedillo’s office. Thank you to our partners at the Dodgers Foundation, Boys and Girls Club of West San Gabriel Valley and East Los Angeles, LA84 Foundation, and the Office of Councilmember Gil Cedillo for bringing the All-Star Teen Center to life. We would also like to thank the various vendors and donors who provided residents with fun gifts, great music, and delicious food for Dodgers Day.
