Commissioner Daisy Lopez

 Commissioner Lopez is one of the two resident commissioners serving on the board. She was born and raised at Pico Gardens public housing community and was the Resident Advisory Council Secretary from 2005-2006.

Commissioner Lopez is currently employed at Para Los Ninos as an Associate Teacher, providing curriculum development for afterschool classes.

She has received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University, with a minor in Spanish.  Commissioner Lopez also attended East Los Angeles Community College. She is currently in the process of obtaining teaching credentials.

Commissioner Lopez was appointed to the Board on September 14, 2011.
