Education Development
HACLA has collaborated with the University of California Los Angeles (UCCLA) for more than 15 years to provide tutorial services to the youth who reside in public housing. Youth participate in weekly tutorial sessions at UCLA. Each student works one on one with a college intern. The interns provide homework assistance, as well as mentorship. Additionally, students receive first hand experience on how a college campus operates. Residents also participate in community service projects with UCLA students and attend field trips.
