HACLA CEO meets with HUD Secretary During South L.A. Visit |
![]() Newly appointed federal Housing Secretary Shaun Donovan took a tour of foreclosed homes in South Los Angeles on Wednesday. He was joined by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles) and Housing Authority’s CEO, Rudolf C. Montiel among other local and state leaders. The city plans to use some of the stimulus money to buy foreclosed homes and convert them into low-income rental housing while refurbishing others to sell to low-income and moderate-income families.
