Providing homes for the Homeless

The grand opening of the New Carver Apartments on September 16 in downtown Los Angles means 92 formerly homeless individuals now have a place to live.

The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles partnered with the Skid Row Housing Trust on the project and will provide rental subsidy to 92 tenants of the New Carver Apartments through the Project-Based Voucher (PBV) program. The Skid Row Housing Trust will be providing on-site supportive services to chronically homeless individuals many of whom have mental health and substance abuse issues.
