Job Fair at Imperial Courts

 

Oct, 30 - The job fair was a collaborative effort between HACLA's Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program, Imperial Courts Work Source Portal, and Housinc Authority of the County Of Los Angeles to connect clients in the FSS program as well as public housing residents with real time employment opportunities.    Over 200 job seekers  attended and 13 employers with job openings were present including  Employment Development Departments (EDD) for veterans, Los Angeles Fire Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department,  West Coast Arborists.

 

Another job fair is scheduled for November 7 at HACOLA's Nueva Maravilla Public Housing Development.  Located at 4909 E. Cesar Chavez Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90022.  

 

The goal of the FSS program is  to assist participants by connecting them to available job opportunities, trainings, and  resources in the community. Currently, the program is sending about 500  job leads a month to clients.
