Commissioner Rayman Mathoda

Ms. Rayman Mathoda was appointed to serve as a Commissioner on the HACLA Board of Commissioners in June 2006. She was Senior Vice President / Chief of Staff at IndyMac Bank where she was actively engaged with the CEO on all company strategic and execution issues and managed the Office of the Chairman and CEO for the 9th largest US Thrift and 9th larges US mortgage lender. She developed and executed company-wide management accountability process to standardize CEO review of business unit and shared service unit performance and worked with the CEO to drive traction on key special projects.

Prior to joining IndyMac Bank she was a Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company. Ms. Rayman Mathoda was the co-founder and President for Fundamental Change Inc., a start-up with innovative retailing concept. Mathoda was the winner of Kellogg Entrepreneurship project which she utilized to co-found She was also the founder of UR Consultants, a college application consulting service for Indian high school students.

Rayman Mathoda has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and an MBA with distinction in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Kellogg Graduate School of Management from Northwestern University.

Mathoda is the author of “How to Control Health Benefit Costs” published in McKinsey Quarterly (1Q 2004) and is a member of Board of Directors for Planned Parenthood Los Angeles and Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center.
