Digital Equity and Education Teams

Our Mission
At HACLA, we recognize the importance of digital literacy and access to technology in today’s world. That’s why we own and operate ten Computer Labs and Employment Technology Centers across our housing sites. These public spaces serve as hubs for learning, engagement, wellness, and positive activities for our residents. By partnering with service providers and community organizations, we bring consistent and meaningful programs to these centers, focusing on strategies that positively impact the economic, health, and educational trajectories of our residents.
What We Offer
Our Computer Labs are typically open Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (varies by site), offering both walk-in opportunities and scheduled classes. These labs are a ready resource for adults and children alike, providing access to:
- Computers and Internet Access: Available for job searches, online education, and personal use.
- Tech Services: On-site access to printing, emailing, faxing, and scanning.
- Scheduled Classes: Regularly scheduled classes on digital literacy, job readiness, and other educational topics.
- Support from Digital Ambassadors: Our Digital Ambassadors are available on-site to assist with technology needs and provide guidance on using digital tools effectively.
