Suket Dayal
Suket Dayal serves as Chief Administrative Officer of the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA), the second-largest public housing authority in the United States. In this role, he provides executive oversight of Finance, Labor and Employee Relations, Information Technology, Legal, General Services and Grants—integrating the agency’s core administrative and support functions to drive operational excellence, fiscal stewardship, and institutional alignment.
A firm believer that access to stable housing should not remain a persistent challenge in our developed nation, Suket brings more than 15 years of progressive public sector leadership experience. He applies a disciplined, systems-oriented approach to managing complex organizations, strengthening institutional infrastructure while fostering strong internal and external partnerships.
Prior to joining HACLA, Suket served as Executive Vice President of Business Administration and Chief Financial Officer at the San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC) where he oversaw finance and information technology operations. Over more than a decade at SDHC, he held various programmatic and operational leadership roles, including human resources, procurement, policy, homelessness solutions and strategy. He began his public housing career at the Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino, where worked on policy initiatives and led the Moving to Work program.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from the USC Marshall School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona.
Suket is actively involved in the community and serves as a Planning Commissioner for the County of San Bernardino. He has held Board positions on National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Organization (NAHRO), California Association of Housing Authorities (CAHA) and California Housing Workers Compensation Authority (CHWCA).
