On Thursday, May 19th, Councilmember Gil Cedillo of the 1st Council District joined HACLA, PATH and student volunteers from Corpus Christi School to create and distribute "Welcome Home Kits" at Alvarado Lakeview Apartments. The new Project Homekey site is located at 740 S. Alvarado Street and will provide 40 units for people experiencing homelessness, 39 units for people at risk of homelessness, and one manager's unit. With assistance from LAHSA and PATH, HACLA will work to identify as many eligible people as possible to be placed in the units. All units will be matched using the Coordinated Entry System (CES). Supportive services at the building will be provided by PATH in partnership with the LA County Department of Health Services and the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles.
