HACLA Celebrates Villa Vanowen Groundbreaking

On August 7, 2023, the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) joined Century Affordable Development, Inc. to celebrate the ground breaking ceremony for Villa Vanowen. Located in Council District 2 of Los Angeles, Villa Vanowen will provide affordable housing for a target population of chronically homeless individuals. The building will provide 63 Project Based Voucher units and one manager unit. The residential complex will comprise five three-story and four-story buildings and the apartments will consist entirely of studio floor plans. HACLA's estimated project contribution is $27.8 million in Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) over the 20 year contract. Supportive services will be provided by Century Oasis.
