On May 22, 2019 HACLA hosted yet another workshop for its existing and new vendors. The workshop was attended by over 36 local businesses who were provided information and resources about HACLA’s procurement process, section 3 regulation and the recent changes in procurement activities that may affect how the agency does business with them.

The event began with a presentation by the General Services Department to teach vendors about HACLA’s procurement process, how to register as a vendor with HACLA, how to access contracting opportunities for small and large purchases, as well as tips on how to respond to solicitations. Vendors were also learned about Section 3 regulation and how to register as a Section 3 Business Concern.

Michelle Quirante from the City of Los Angeles Contractor Development and Bonding Program gave remarks about the services and resources that they have to help businesses with bonding requirements.

After the presentations, vendors met one on one with HACLA staff who addressed their specific questions and concerns.
