HACLA Hosts Tour of Watts to Representatives



On April 11th, HACLA and Watts Rising were proud to host representatives from the Strategic Growth Council, Governor’s Office, and Assemblymember Gipson for a tour of Watts. Starting at the newly opened Mudtown Farms and continuing through the neighborhoods, the state representatives got a chance to see how Watts is leading the nation in addressing climate change.

On Thursday, May 19, 2022, HACLA joined Mayor Garcetti and Venice Community Housing to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting for the Rose Apartments in Venice. This HHH-funded permanent supportive housing complex contains 35 units and also offers on-site supportive services.
