Dec. 13, 2019 – Contracts and Procurement department conducted an Labor Compliance Workshop for Developers and Contractors. In collaboration with the Los Angeles Field Office of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Department of Labor (DOL) the authority hosted over fifty developers and contractors for a free Davis-Bacon labor compliance seminar. The purpose of this workshop was to provide a greater understanding of Davis-Bacon and labor standards compliance responsibilities under an Agreement to Enter into a Housing Assistance Payments Contract and ensure successful compliance of Developers and their contractors.

The workshop covered a myriad of topics, most particularly federal labor standards, apprenticeship requirements, payment of wages, certified payroll and other requirements arising in connection with the award of the vouchers.
