On Saturday, September 12, 2020 The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) held another back to school event at its Pueblo del Rio site. Children from the community were invited to come to Pueblo del Rio’s Social Hall between the hours of 11am – 2pm for a free backpack giveaway as students continue to prep for back to school. Lunch was also provided and served by local LAPD Officers from the Community Safety Partnership (CSP). Attendees enjoyed hot dogs, hamburgers and ice cream! Residents were given first priority; however, non-residents were also able to attend and participate.

Additional Community Partners included H.O.M.E., Volunteers of America Los Angeles, GRYD, Soledad Enrichment Action, LA PULSE, CRCD (Coalition Responsible for Community Development), Councilmember Current D. Price, Jr. and Efren Martinez.
