The Policy & Innovation department was formed to best position HACLA to foster effective and proactive relationships with elected offices at the local, state, and national levels, influence and advance housing policy, employ creative and strategic funding models, and deepen supportive housing services and resources in alignment with the outcomes housed within our 25-Year Vision Plan.
The department also works closely with public housing organizations and housing industry groups to strengthen its efforts. There are four areas of focus within our department, which are distinct from each other but have significant overlap in how we collaborate with HACLA’s internal teams and external stakeholders, as well as how we use agency-wide data to inform our work.
