The Policy, Legislation, & Intergovernmental Affairs unit closely monitors and, where applicable, researches federal, state, and local legislation, City directives, emerging policy updates, and regulations impacting HACLA’s housing programs and supportive services. It also leads relationship development with elected offices at the local, state, and national levels, as well as external partners and industry groups, to ensure that housing program needs and the impacts of existing and proposed legislation are effectively communicated. This collaborative approach ensures that elected officials and stakeholders are best informed about how HACLA is addressing critical housing issues.
