Innovation & Grants

One of HACLA’s strategic goals is to diversify funding streams and reduce reliance on federal funding through competitive grants and supportive partnerships. These additional resources and collaborative opportunities provide HACLA the ability to fast-track capital improvements at our properties and expand its current scope of services and amenities for our residents, clients and program participants. The team is focused on three categories of impact: Sustainability & Health; Community Revitalization; Workforce Development.

This unit leads HACLA’s internal metrics and outcomes unit; advising departments and the Board of Commissioners on program effectiveness, highlighting  areas where improvements are needed and tracking successes. The unit also leads the development and management of all data-sharing agreements with outside agencies and universities; participating in broader studies that can better inform and target our work.
