Pathways to Hope Scholarship Now Open!

Investing in our youth is essential to helping residents achieve their educational and career aspirations. Build Hope's Pathways to Hope Scholarship Program is designed to support and encourage HACLA public housing and Section 8 residents as they pursue postsecondary education.
The scholarship is available to students enrolling in:
- Four-year colleges or universities
- Community colleges
- Vocational or technical training programs

This summer, HACLA’s Watts/LA WorkSource Center enrolled over 150 youth, ages 14–24, in the 2025 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP).
For many, this was their first job and paycheck. It’s a milestone that builds confidence, responsibility, and independence.
